Title: Firewall Technician

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Job Description:

The Firewall technician is responsible for the operations and maintenance of all firewall devices for the AFIN Network Operations Squadron customer base. Key services maintained either locally or remotely are: Sidewinder G2 Firewalls, Cisco Virtual Private Network devices and BlueCoat Proxy servers.

Title: Firewall Technician

Main Duties:

• Responsible for assisting with the establishment and development of a secure infrastructure, based on client needs, U.S Government guidance and industry best practices. Will operate and maintain, assist with the design modification and documentation security configurations for applications, network devices that include: Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) and other equipment and software

• Provide guidance that supports technical information system design(s), improvements, planning and implementation. Assess current and planned information systems, identifying security architecture or design issues, and develop solutions to meet customer requirements and standards compliance

• Participates in infrastructure support projects to develop, plan, and implement specifications or standards for network and distributed system security technologies in support of key information systems. Able to support the evaluation and acquisition of information security tools (as requested). Participate in special projects (as required)

Requirements:

• CCNA Certification

• Must have hands on experience working with Sidewinder and Cisco firewalls, various IDS/IPS products, and VPNs

• Need a solid understanding of current security practices in service provider environment

• Strong understanding of current industry trends in network and security infrastructure

• Must be comfortable with shell scripting

• Candidates must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

• Candidates must successfully pass a Drug Test

• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or High School graduate with 7 years of experience supporting enterprise networks.

• Sec + certification or can obtain within 90 days of employment

• Pass government issued IQT test

Experience with the following is mandatory:

Title: HVAC Program Manager

Location: Washington DC

The HVAC Program Manager is responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair services for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, compressed air equipment and systems, and emergency generators at a main Government facility and of air conditioning equipment at seven off-site locations by means of a combination firm fixed price (FFP) and indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Responsible for providing leadership, management, supervision, and technical guidance necessary to operate, maintain, repair, and make minor alterations to HVAC, refrigeration, and compressed air systems and associated equipment for both firm fixed price and IDIQ work, including:

• Service Work
• Recurring services such as Preventive Maintenance, cooling tower water treatment, and seasonal start-up and shut-down of equipment
• Periodic operational checks
• Indefinite quantity work items of repair and alterations
• Supervises and manages a group of technicians of various crafts in the operation, maintenance, and repair of building HVAC equipment for both FFP and IDIQ efforts.
• Supervises scheduling and ensures 24/7/365 staffing on the FFP portion of the contract, which includes Preventive Maintenance Inspection and Service, Equipment Operations, and Service Calls. The contractor is required to have 24/7/365 staffing to pick up service call authorizations and respond to Emergency and Urgent Service Calls and to maintain sufficient off-the-shelf materials and equipment on hand to support service work requirements.
• Establishes procedures, policies, standards, and priority of effort for all work. Ensures work is scheduled and coordinated in advance with client representatives. Ensures all work is performed to standard and that the client is apprised of mission impacts and progress.
• Establishes internal policies, procedures, and tracking systems for the performance of all Preventive Maintenance Inspection and Service under the FFP portion of the contract. PM includes the identification and performance of any repairs required to bring the equipment up to manufacturer’s operating standards, in accordance with the contract requirements. Ensures deficiencies identified during PMs are reported to the client in accordance with contract requirements.
• Establishes internal policies, procedures and tracking systems in accordance with contract requirements for operator maintenance under the FFP portion of the contract. Operator shall be performed daily, or more frequently if required by the equipment manufacturer. Operator maintenance shall include the performance of any needed minor adjustments and repairs in accordance with the terms of the contract.
• Establishes internal policies, procedures, and tracking systems for Service Calls. Ensures 24/7/365
• 24/7/365 staffing to pick up service call authorizations and respond to Emergency and Urgent Service Calls. Establishes internal procurement and inventory procedures to maintain sufficient off-the-shelf materials and equipment on hand to support service work requirements.
• Establishes policies and procedures for the preparation, review, approval, and tracking of cost estimates required for Beyond Scope of Work Service Calls, deficiencies identified during PMs that are beyond the limit of PM repair the contract, and IDIQ work. Supervises the preparation and submission of cost estimates.
• Establishes policies and procedures for the preparation, review, approval, and tracking of IDIQ proposals. Supervises the preparation and submission of proposals within delegated limits.
• Responsible for the planning, scheduling, and execution of IDIQ work involving the repair, replacement, maintenance, and installation of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, compressed air equipment and systems, and emergency generators at the main Government facility and off site locations.
• Supervises the preparation of, approves, and submits daily, weekly and monthly reports on work accomplished.
• Provides guidance, training and supervision for technicians as required.
• Ensures that all FFP and IDIQ work is accomplished in accordance with all applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements.
• Ensures that all FFP and IDIQ work is accomplished in accordance with client and AECOM Safety Program requirements. Establishes safety procedures, ensures safety equipment is available and used, safety briefings are given, and verifies requirements for and schedules required safety training.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience on HVAC, refrigeration, and compressed air systems and emergency generators.
• Previous experience with data centers and mission critical facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage FFP and IDIQ work of similar scope and complexity.
• Master Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic License in VA, MD, or D.C.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Other Requirements:

• As an exempt employee, may be required work beyond normal duty day to ensure critical support requirements are met.
• Ability to work inside and outside, in inclement weather; and on wet, icy and slippery surfaces.
• Ability to use a ladder or lift and work on/inspect structures or equipment above ground level.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• Master Electrician’s License

Security: Must be a U.S. Citizen and have an active Top Secret/SCI security clearance
