Position Title: Senior Contracts Administator

The candidate’s responsibilities will include cradle-to-grave contract administration, negotiate prime contract, and support project manager by providing contractual advice and proper contract acquisition inaccordance with company policies and legal requirements. Perform special projects as needed.

 

Experience Requirements:

 

6-8 years’ experience in federal government contracts administration, including GSA Schedules, and the ability to perform tasks without appreciable direction. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail oriented, independent, and analytical. The ideal candidate will have worked in a professional services environment and be familiar with Cost Plus, Time and Material and Fixed Price contracts and possess demonstrated knowledge of contract terms and conditions. Must have strong spreadsheet and communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment. This position requires the ability to provide good customer service to internal/external clients and to discuss and explain contractual topics with non-contractual personnel. Experience mentoring and training less experienced professionals

 

Skills Requirements:

 

Must have excellent organizational and people skills. Must have a working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DOD and DCAA; must be a self-starter and thrive in a management structure where supervision is minimal but high standards are maintained. Must work well as part of a team (to include Program Managers, Human Resource, Recruitment, Accounting & Finance, Business Manager), be customer focused and have a “can-do” attitude. The ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, able to work in a matrix organization, and manage time effectively are critical skills. Strong computer skills with Excel are required (MS Word can have intermediate skills). Experience with export compliance activities for both the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) is desired. Experience working with the Intelligence Community (IC) is required. Having a security clearance is preferred.

 

Education Requirements:

 

BA/BS in business (will consider years of experience in lieu of education). Graduate level degree preferred.
