.Net Developer – Chantilly, VA 

Job Description: 

  • Participate in the design and planning of the gateway architecture to support goals of the project
  • Assist development teams in activities such as load testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
  • Enforcement of standards and best practices
  • Proactively communicates with team to anticipate configuration management issues/processes
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to implement improvements to internal team processes
  • Contributes to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle
  • Self-starter, approaches work with a professional discipline
  • Solid software development skills to include: Object Oriented Design and Principles  

Job Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent degree is required, although will consider experience and certifications in lieu of degree
  • 3+ years experience with .Net languages (C# and/or VB.NET)
  • 2-3 years experience using J2EE or related technologies
  • 1+ years experience with Visual Basic 6 (does not have to be recent)
  • Key technology experience in areas such as XML, Web Services and SOA
  • Knowledge of change management tools, Subversion, TortoiseSVN, etc.
  • Experience with a wide variety of testing tools and techniques, ex. NUnit, JUnit
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Strong written and communication skills
